The WELL Arts Ministry invites you to discover new intersections of art and faith through Creatives Connect meetings, exhibitions, and workshops.
Purpose
Recognizing the valuable contribution that art makes to our church body, The WELL Arts Ministry encourages, celebrates, and exhibits the contributions of visual and performing artists.
Mission
The WELL Arts Ministry serves WELL covenant partners, visitors, and the wider community by providing:
- "Creatives Connect" monthly gatherings for visual artists, writers, musicians and others wanting to gain encouragement by meeting to pray and discuss their hearts and their art
- Exhibitions
- Workshops for adults and children
Vision
The WELL Arts Ministry exists to serve covenant partners, visitors, and the broader community with projects and programs that help artists of all skill levels discover new intersections of art and faith. Workshops, gatherings, exhibitions, and more will facilitate these heart-sharing, community-building art-making, and artist-encouraging activities.
NEW! Advent Art Exhibition
Covenant partners and friends of The WELL are welcome to produce and share works of art responding to the season of Advent.
To participate, please register your work by Friday, November 13th with your name and the title of your work. Please include a phone number, too. Email arts@thewellabilene.com with this information. Limit two per artist. Be sure to include your name on the back of your work.
Place your artwork on the ledge in the art gallery by Sunday, November 29th.
Follow These Guidelines
Works of art must be matted, framed, or presented on gallery-wrapped canvas.
Works of writing: poetic, musical, or narrative must be matted and/or framed.
No works may be larger than 48 inches in width or height.
Works may be no more than 2 inches deep.
Works may weigh up to 8 pounds.
All works must be flat on the bottom edge.
Without pedestals, sculptures cannot be displayed at this time.
Any works out of compliance with these standards will not be installed.
The WELL Church, including its staff and volunteers, is not responsible for theft or damage to works in this gallery. By placing your work on the ledge, you acknowledge this waiver.

Christmas Art Exhibition: God With Us
WELL artists and friends will present artworks echoing the truth that God is with us in every aspect of life.
Our pastors will use the following verses in their preaching. They may help you apply your media to creating artworks for this exhibition.
- Exodus 25:1-9; Ephesians 2:19-22
- Exodus 13:21-22 or 40:34-38;
- Matthew 4:1-11
- Isaiah 43:1-3a;
- Matthew 14:22-33
- Isaiah 53:4-6; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21
- Matthew 1:18-25
Register your work(s) online - limit two - by Friday, November 21, and place your artwork(s) on the gallery rail by Sunday, November 30th.
